Explain in your own words the importance of capital markets to our economy . Comment on the impact the recent public scandals, and the concern that more are hiding beneath the surface, have had on the ability of capital markets to do their job. Consider whether or not the government should be “in the business of auditing public companies.” Based on the article you read and your current knowledge of the FDIC, do you think that FDIC insurance should continue to be available?
